SUMMARY

Ratatouille

Remy is a special rat because he cooks very well. One day, he lost his family. He decides to go to Gusteau's restaurant. He meets Lingüini, one of the cooks. Remy teaches Lingüini to cook. Skinner, the owner of the restaurant, reads the testament and he knows that Lingüini is the son of Gusteau and he is the really owner of the restaurant. But he doesn't say anything until Remy takes the testament and gives it to Lingüini. When the restaurant is very popular, Ego, the critic, goes to the restaurant and Remy makes a delicious dish called Ratatouille. He enjoys it a lot.

Why is it called Ratatouille?
Because Ratatouille is a delicatessen dish very popular in France and only the best restaurants make it.

Pol: Why we don't go to Xina?
Dad: Well, it will be great because there are the Olympic games, but there is a lot of people.
Pol: And what about Germany?
Dad: Yes, I love Germany. We could stay in Berlin.

Dad: Well, we need to buy the tickets in the airport.
Pol: Oh, no! There aren't any tickets to Berlin!

DESCRIBING A SUMMER FESTIVAL: SANT JORDI

On the 23td of April, it's "Sant Jordi" in Catalunya. "Sant Jordi" is a traditional celebration and all the people celebrate it.

When is "Sant Jordi", it's tradition that the boys buy a rose for the girls and the girls buy a book for the boys. In many villages you can see a lot of book shops and florist's.

I like this celebration because it's very fun and you can see a lot of boys buying roses in this day.

A CLASS SURVEY: SPORTS

In this survey I asked twenty people in my class about their favourite sport. I also asked them about individual sports.

Most people in my class loves playing basketball. Twenty per cent like playing football. Five people like playing basebal and one person likes playing volleyball.

About the individual sports, fifty per cent love playing tennis and the rest of the class like playing golf.

Pol: Well, the first man was taller than the second and he was wearing glasses. He had long, dark hair.

Police: How about the second man?

Pol: He was slimmer than the first man and he was wearing a blue jacket and black jeans.

A ghost story

One day, I was at my best friend's house. I was only eight years old. Then, when I was sleeping, I saw two terrible mummies!

First, one of the mummies talked to me. After that, the other mummy began to shout. I was very scared, so I ran very fast and I left the room. The parents of my best friend went to the room where I was sleeping. The mummies weren't there. They dissapeared.

The next day I knew that I was having a nigthmare! The mummies never existed! Now I feel more safe.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie was born on 14th June 1975. She grew up in California, USA. When she was a child, she acted in her first film. She was only five. She also went to Drama school when she was eleven.

Before she was famous, Angelina appeared in music videos. In 1999, she starred in The Bone Collector and it was her first success. She won an oscar in this year too. She became famous in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and other films.

Now, Angelina is a film star and helps children's organisations. She lives in the USA with her children.

My favourite TV programme

My favourite TV programme is the American series, "Jericho". I like "Jericho" because it's very exciting and the story is very interesting.
In the series Jake is a normal person and he goes to "Jericho" to visit his parents. But, when he's going to the house, he sees an incredible explosion in the city near "Jericho". Then, the TV, the telephons, computers... don't work, and the habitans will try to survive. After that, they know that the most important cities of the USA are destroyed.
In my opinion, the best character is Hockins. I like it because he's an expert in spionage an he becomes, with Jake, the responsible of the lives of the village. I love this series!

A description of a typical weekend

On Friday evening, I always stay in. I usually play computer games or read books. I also likes playing basketball.

On Saturday morning, I usually sleep for a few hours and when I get up, I go to have lunch. In the evening, I often meet my friends and we play computer games or play basketball.

On Sunday morning, I usually do my homework or surf the Internet. I also listen to music. In the afternoon, I sometimes go to the cinema with my parents. I love watching films!
